About Growth Lending
At Growth Lending we’re a little bit different.
Back in 2013, we recognised that there was a missing link in the funding lifecycle for growing businesses.
In the aftermath of the financial crisis, traditional banks had withdrawn from the SME lending market, leaving many of the UK’s innovative, fast-growing businesses struggling to secure funding.
While equity capital could still play a key role in early-stage business growth, there surely had to be more options – less dilutive ones – for what comes next.
Exceptional SMEs needed growth capital that could bridge the gap between bank lending and equity, providing them with the fuel to accelerate growth, from a lender that truly understood the challenges faced by fast-growing firms.
We have been bridging this gap ever since.

Our People team worked closely with an Organisational Psychologist to capture Growth Lending’s culture, which is reflected in our lending approach and everything that we do.
